Every Street Matters

Every Street Matters aims to encourage high quality design and maintenance for Lincolnshire’s streets, whether they be urban, village or rural roads.  There are many benefits to be gained by doing this, including improving quality of life for all who use Lincolnshire’s streets.

It is recognised that improvements in the street environment can help build a sense of community and reduce crime, increase social inclusion and promote economic prosperity.  If a street scene is seen to be well-designed and cared-for, using materials of an appropriately high quality, people will enjoy using it, and regard it as a place in itself.  This can attract new businesses, and help existing businesses.  Good traffic management can promote walking and cycling, and thus promote healthier communities.
